On Monday I lost transmission suddenly of CNN on both of my TVs.
This channel has always been strong and I have watched for over 12
years on Astra 28.2. Has anyone had the same problem?
using 80 mt. dish and Humax decorder. Has CNN moved position in the past few days?
    Thanks for any information.

Hi Jane,   CNN moved from Transponder 12051  to  12522 on 30/7   http://en.kingofsat.net/channelhistory.php?ch=28   Don’t know Humax receivers but I guess you just re-scan the satellite and all should be well.Cheers.Mav

Correction…It’s also changed satellites, from 2A to 2F which means you  won’t be able to receive this channel on a 80cm dish.Is this the only channel you watch on Astra because CNN is on other satellites?

… most interestingly, both Astra 1 and Hotbird, which is what Sky Italia uses.

Mav – CNN at 12522 is on European beam not UK spot so should still be possible

….Or you can always go for Intelsat 907 to get UK tv,with your size of dish,if you get another receiver.Cheers
