<span>I recently purchased the Manhattan freesat receiver and had it delivered to uganda, my technician used a satellite finder n tested it on the dish by manually forcing it to point 28.2 degrees East and it picked the signal perfectly, he’s recommendation was to buy a freesat dish designed to point 28.2 degrees east. We already have the frequency and symbol rate and established that a signal can be obtained here in uganda, also i live close to the Equator, place called Entebbe, what are the possibilities of obtaining UK free sat channels?</span>

    ZERO!!

Hi Jeromy, presumably your technician was picking up signals from the “West Africa” beam of Astra 2E. I was unable to find reference to what is broadcast on this beam but it is a strong signal which can be picked up over a large area of W. Africa with a small dish, see : http://robssatellitetv.com/astra2gwestafricakubeam.htm . Likely that it can be received in Uganda with a bigger dish.
As far as UK Freesat channels are concerned, these are broadcast on a UK spot beam from Astra 2E and 2G. The signal is concentrated on the UK and many of us guys in Europe are out of range even with big dishes, see: http://robssatellitetv.com/astra2gukkuspotbeam.htm . Don’t know what your Internet speed is in Uganda but this may be your way to watching UK tv – unfortunately not my area of competence but maybe someone else can help. Any offers??
