it appears that Filmon had made some changes and the developers are playing ‘catch-up’.

pleased to report that the Filmon and notFilmon addons both working this morning and i am hopeful that FTV will follow.

Hi, I have recently purchased a Woxter TV 700 to get Flimon on my Tv,as I have lost all sat signals here in N.Spain. Im not very techie so it took me awhile to get it up and running. There seems to be more than one Filmon download, the one I used is different to the one on the wifes tablet.

I had to download a free app from Google to watch it at all. NOW ! the Picture quality is slightly better than when I ran it via a PC Version, but it freezes and drops audio a lot more. Can anyone suggest how I can optimise this system please ? I have normally about 2.5/3 mgs connection speed and have connectect the woxter box via ethernet cable to maximise signal strength. Any Advise would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi Peter, You are not alone with the freezing and sound loss. I have been using FO for about 5 years and it does vary a lot. I too have installed Woxter for my tv and done away with my PC tower, it also used to freeze etc so I believe it is a FO problem rather than the Woxter. I and my wife still get the hick-up´s on our laptops (WiFi) but as thousands of people all across Europe are now using FO I think FO will have to up their signal facility to accommodate the extra users.  Not much help I know but lets put our faith in FO. I´m in Tenerife.

it appears that ‘Filmon’ have now set their systems so that registration to Filmon and Login is required within the xbmc addons. FTV can now only be watched in SD., without a subscription.

otherwise they stop and go back to the channel menu after a few minutes.

I haven’t had time yet to try the 2 Filmon Addons i have loaded on my Android MX2  but suspect the same.

the google app version. ‘Filmon Live’ has been working all through the upheaval.

I am actively looking into a fta HD solution.

I had a bit of a eurika moment the other night !!! I woke up realising my Woxter box was connected by ethernet cable and the wifi was still switched on, thought there maybe a conflict so switched the wifi off,(I did think plugging in the cable would have defaulted the wifi.)

Anyways we enjoyed a trouble free evenings viewing, hoping this is now the new normality !! So if you have a Woxter box make sure you are not running both at the same time.!!!!

Thanks for the input !! Ill keep you posted !! Peter

the notFilmon add on also works if you register on Filmon and log in.

It appears that the problems with XBMC Addons: FTV, notfilmon etc., have been resolved and that they are now working as they did before the problems associated with the changes Filmon made last week.

Well, Im watching Filmon through my Woxter box,and for some reason I have started to get a big black screen with the play symbol in the centre, click on that and it works until the next time.Currently this is happening up to 4 or 5 times a program rendering it more or less unwatchable. What is this problem ?? Is it a buffering issue ,a Filmon issue, or a woxter issue ?? anyone know ?

Hi Peter, Have you tried to unplug the dongle from your tv and disconnect the power then wait a minute they plug in power then TV and then reset.

Should do the trick. I have two woxter boxes here in Tenerife both working well.

THANKS BOB !! that seems to have sorted it out, slight picture quality improvements too.

Really appreciate it !! things are back to normal, and I can relax, and forget the urge to throw the lot out of the window !!

Hi Tom,  Ha Ha the question is just how big do I need to go !!! Really Filmon serves us well, just a bit of a pain when it hiccups.!! Hope all is well for you inlanders !

Hi Peter, Glad that helped. It´s good to have a site like this where you ask for advice hoping someone has an answer. Here in Tenerife we have lost all UK TV and Woxter seems to be a good answer.
